The safety and well-being of your pet is our priority here at Y.P.F. Grooming Studio. 

We follow strict guidelines for grooming your pets. Our grooming specialist will assess your pet before starting with any of our services. We have the right to refuse or discontinue our services in the event that your pet is found to be unfit due to the following reasons:

  • Your pet is below 6 months old and above 10 years old.
  • Your pet is infested with ticks and/or fleas
  • Your pet is pregnant or in heat
  • Your pet is newly vaccinated (please wait 1-2 weeks after vaccination)
  • Your pet has severe illness
  • Your pet has been vomiting or has diarrhea
 

Aggressive behavior

The pet owner shall inform our grooming specialist of any behavioral issues before the grooming session. For the safety of everyone, a muzzle may be used if deemed necessary. If your pet is too stressed or aggressive, we will discontinue all procedures and notify you immediately. The pet owner will not hold Y.P.F. Grooming Studio and its grooming specialists liable for any minor nicks that may occur if your pet does not respond to our grooming specialist nor remains still during the grooming session.

 

Allergic reactions

We use products that are safe and suitable for pets. However as with any pet care products, some pets may have sensitivity to certain products or ingredients. The pet owner agrees not to hold Y.P.F. Grooming Studio and its grooming specialists responsible for allergic reactions to our pet grooming products. 

 

Claiming of Pet

Only the registered pet owner can claim their pet. In the event that a representative will pick-up your pet, kindly send us an authorization letter allowing your representative to pick-up your pet. We will allow a maximum of 1 hour free of charge for your pet to stay with us. Beyond that, we will start to charge our day care rates.

It’s the responsibility of the pet owner to check that their pets are in good health and physical condition after the grooming session. Y.P.F. Grooming Studio will not be responsible for any claims after the pet owner or its representative receives the pet from our grooming specialists.

Matted Coats & Shaving

Coats that are matted or tangled is a serious condition that will be addressed and discussed by our grooming specialist before the grooming session. De-matting and/or shaving may present certain post-grooming risks, which may include but are not limited to itchy skin, discolored skin, burn and sores. The pet owner shall not hold Y,P.F. Grooming Studio and its grooming specialists accountable for minor nicks or burns resulting from the removal of matted neglected coats or for irritation caused by coat removal.

Photographs and Marketing

We may take photographs of your pets for promotional purposes on different platforms. If you do not wish for your pet’s photos to be used and featured, please inform us.

Pre-existing health conditions

Our grooming specialists are not veterinarians and do not have training in animal medicine, so they are not expected to diagnose or identify illnesses. Sometimes, grooming can reveal an underlying medical condition or aggravate an existing one, which may happen during or after the grooming session. Pet owners agree not to hold Y.P.F. Grooming Studio and its grooming specialists liable for any previously unknown conditions, such as rashes, excessive tearing, moles, or cysts, which may occasionally be nicked during the grooming session.

Vaccinations

For the safety of your pet, our staff and other pets in our studio, pet owners must show their pet’s vaccination card with complete and updated vaccinations. Here are the requirements: Rabies, 5-in-1, Bordetella and Kennel Cough, Deworming, Anti Tick & Flea.
